Declared Values & Receipts
What is a merchant invoice?
A merchant or seller invoice is a document that shows the price you paid for the merchandise you purchased. It should also include a clear description of the items, along with item values and totals.
How do I obtain a merchant invoice?
Many merchants automatically email a copy of your invoice after your purchase is completed, such as an order confirmation.
You can also log into the merchant's website and review your order history. If neither method works, contact the merchant's customer service department.
I can't make out the contents of my package from the photo. How do I determine what invoice to upload?
Each package is shipped from your merchant with a unique carrier tracking number, such as FedEx or UPS. That tracking number is uploaded to your BluePostal account along with the package and photo.
If the photo does not provide enough detail to identify the package, compare the merchant's tracking number with the tracking number posted to your BluePostal account to determine which invoice should be uploaded.
My order is arriving in multiple shipments. How do I know what portion of my invoice to upload?
Many merchants split online orders into multiple packages. Each shipment will arrive with its own tracking number.
Compare the tracking number from your merchant order with the tracking number shown on your BluePostal account to determine which portion of the overall invoice applies to that package.
For additional assistance, contact the customer service team.
My item is a gift. How do I activate billing?
Even if an item is a gift, Bahamas Customs requires a value to be assigned to the package for clearance purposes.
Please contact the customer service team for assistance.
Do you accept merchant invoices in currencies other than U.S. dollars?
Yes. If your invoice is in another currency, the prices will be converted into U.S. dollars using the current exchange rate.

How long will my shipment take to arrive in Nassau?
Once your ship request has been successfully created by the specified cutoff time, express shipment transit time is typically 1–2 business days, excluding weekends.
What is the payment cutoff time for shipments to be received by the next business day?
The payment cutoff time is 5:00pm Monday through Friday and 2:00pm on Saturdays.
What is dimensional weight?
Dimensional weight applies when a package is large in size but relatively light in actual weight. You should compare dimensional weight with actual weight; the greater value determines the shipping cost.
Dimensional weight is calculated as:
Items such as comforters, pillows and plastic bumpers often have high dimensional weight. In some cases, boat shipping may be more economical than air shipping.
